IGNACY JAN PADEREWSKI
(1860 – 1941)

Polish pianist and composer; politician and statesman. Spokesman for Polish Independence (and first prime minister).  He was a favorite of concert audiences around the world. Paderewski’s musical fame opened access to diplomacy and the media.
