White, Edmund (1940 – )
American novelist, memoirist, and an essayist on literary and social topics. Much of his writing is on the theme of same-sex love. His books include The Joy of Gay Sex; his trilogy of semi-autobiographic novels: A Boy’s Own s/tory, The Beautiful Room Is Empty, The Farewell Symphony, as well as a biography of Jean Genet.
