TLS – Typewritten Letter Signed, one page, 1939. Written to Lucille Robbins, president/founder of The Rosalind Russell Fan Club. Likely sent to be published in the fan club newsletter. Reads in part: I don’t have to say anything about what a splendid actress Rosalind is — for you could see that for yourself in ‘The Citadel,’ in ‘Craig’s Wife,’ and in a lot of other pictures, and I probably don’t have to say anything about what a swell person she is, either, or how much fun it is to have her for a friend. You, and many of the club members, must have found that out already. Instead, let’s take this opportunity, all of us, to wish her a continuation of the good parts she deserves, and of pictures like ‘The Citadel’ which are worthy of her first-rate talents.
