PREVIN, ANDRÉ GEORGE (1929-2019)
German-American pianist, composer, arranger and conductor.

Previn was musical director of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra. He also was music director of the Houston Symphony Orchestra, Los Angeles Philharmonic and Oslo Philharmonic. He was the principal conductor of the London Symphony Orchestra and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. In the jazz world, Previn was a pianist-interpreter and arranger of songs from the Great American Songbook.
