Moore, Grace (1901 – 47)
American operatic soprano and actress in musical theatre and film.
SIG – Vintage, bold, fountain pen signature on a slip of paper (sufficient room for matting). Accompanied by a vintage black/white silver gelatin glossy print of the singer-actress (a newswire photograph). Slight imperfections to image but, overall, very good.
Nicknamed the Tennessee Nightingale. Her films helped to popularize opera by bringing it to a larger audience. She was nominated for an Oscar in One Night of Love. Moore was killed in a plane crash at age 46, and her autograph is sought after by both opera and movie buffs.
