Ford, Glenn (1916-2006)
Canadian-born American actor from Hollywood’s whose career that spanned seven decades.

Ford was the great-nephew of Canada’s first prime minister Sir John Macdonald. He made his breakthrough role in 1946 co-starring with Rita Hayworth in Gilda. Among his more memorable films: The Big Heat, Blackboard Jungle, Interrupted Melody, Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, 3:10 to Yuma and Cimarron. His versatility enabled him to star in a number of popular comedies as well including The Teahouse of the August Moon.
