Versatile American actor of stage and screen.

A member of the experimental theatre company the Wooster Group, Dafoe was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his roles as Elias in Oliver Stone’s Platoon and Max Schreck in the comedy-horror film Shadow of the Vampire. His other film appearances include The Last Temptation of Christ, Mississippi Burning, The English Patient, American Psycho, the Spider-Man trilogy, John Wick and Justice League. He had voice roles in Finding Nemo and its sequel Finding Dory, Fantastic Mr. Fox and an adaptation of Death Note. Among his other films are The Grand Budapest Hotel, Murder on the Orient Express, The Lighthouse, The French Dispatch, Nightmare Alley and The Northman.
Mr. Dafoe gained wider attention for his role as the supervillain Norman Osborn in the superhero film Spider-Man, a role he reprised in its sequels. He also portrayed Nudis Vulko in the DC Extended Universe films including Aquaman and Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom.
