Reads: “I am terribly sorry to have to tell you that I simply won’t be able to attend your event. I am leaving New York for address bottom left April 27th (after ASCAP meetings) and so I am just not able to be there. You know I wish you all ‘cahn – cerned’ the highest of HIGH HOPES.” Accompanied by a reprint image from an original oil painting.
Cahn is best known for his romantic lyrics to Tin Pan Alley and Broadway songs, as recorded by Frank Sinatra, Doris Day and many others.
