BRICE, Fanny (1891-1951)
Jewish-American illustrated song model, comedian, singer, theater and film actress. She was the creator and star of the top-rated radio comedy series “The Baby Snooks Show”. Thirteen years after her death she was portrayed on Broadway by Barbra Streisand in the 1964 musical “Funny Girl” and in the 1968 film adaptation, for which Streisand won an Oscar.

Brice was a posthumous recipient of a Grammy Hall of Fame award for her 1921 recording of “My Man”.
