Alsatian-born theologian, organist, writer, humanitarian, philosopher and physician. Awarded the 1952 Nobel Peace Prize for his philosophy of “Reverence for Life,” becoming the eighth Frenchman to be awarded that prize.
SP – Signed Photograph measure 5.75″ x 4″, sepia-tone, which has been mounted to a larger card. There was a slight problem with the fountain pen ink adhering to the surface of the photograph but entirely legible. Schweitzer has penned Albert Schweitzer, Lambarene, 20.6.60.
