TLS – Typewritten Letter Signed, one page, April 1949, addressed to Prince Virginio Orsini. On behalf of the pope, thanks him for sending congratulations to the Holy Father on the occasion of his sacerdotal jubilee of consecration. Nice example. This letter has been lovingly protected by a custom folder bearing the papal and Orsini coat of arms on the cover. On the interior left is a watercolor giclee portrait of Paul VI. To the right is an acid-free envelope holding the 1949 letter. A truly magnificent piece of papal history. Note bene: the image of the folder is for illustrative purposes only. Yours will differ with added components.
Orsini was the 20th Duke of Gravina and an important member of the House of Orsini, established in the 1100s.
