(PACCA, Bartolomeo Cardinal) (1756-1844)
Italian cardinal, scholar and statesman. Papal secretary of state and served in various curial congregations.
MS – Manuscript, unsigned, 1829, dealing with the pension accorded a prelate. From the primary document and an earlier one within, it would appear that the cleric, Antonio Buonamici, was a man of some prominence. This handsome, intriguing, document mentions 1776 and Pius VI and the Diocese of Lucca. While not signed by Cardinal Pacca, it bears his beautiful, near perfect, blind wax and paper impressed seal. Merits further research.
